In December 2010, I realized that I was pretty damn ill and went to a doctor. I found out that I had liver damage and diabetes. I was given the standard advice to lose weight, eat better, workout more and that would magically cure what ailed me. The only problem was that I already had been working out (3x a week with a trainer), eating well (1200 calories/day low fat, high fiber, etc.) and trying my best. So obviously the standard advice didn't work for me!
